David Muir, an American journalist, anchoring the ABC News magazine 20, is known best as the co-anchor for World News Tonight With David Muir. Through its animated movements and dramatic videos of celebrity chatter, his program has grown to become the most watched newscast in America. Made In America has also been nominated for an Emmy award. Prior to his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight he was the main substitute anchor for the anchor who was his predecessor Diane Sawyer. In recent years the anchor has been on numerous ABC News primetime specials including Breaking Point Heroin in America. He's traveled to numerous locations around the globe reporting the current news. The locations include Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti, and the Gulf of Mexico. He has received a variety of Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards, in addition to awards from the Associated Press.
